(MENAFN) The Chief Health Officer of the nation of Djibouti in the Horn of Africa welcomed a delegation from the Turkish Ministry of Health.

Djibouti Health Minister Ahmed Roble Abdilleh said that the Turkish Ambassador to Djibouti, Salim Levent Sahinkaya, was also at the meeting to discuss health cooperation.

Abdilleh said officials were talking about medical assessment of Djiboutian patients in Turkey, training Djiboutian doctors in Turkey, and purchasing medical supplies and equipment.

He added that both countries intend to increase the level of cooperation between Turkey and Djibouti by showing new ways of working together on medical projects, partnership programs with Turkish hospitals and building Turkish hospitals in the small African nation.
