The Ministry of Information will send a small delegation to Vietnam to gain their experience in organizing the 2021 SEA Games, as the Kingdom will host the biennial SEA Games in 2023.

The ministry will be responsible for broadcasting this regional sporting event, in particular organizing a media center, said Khieu Kanharith, minister of information, when he received the farewell visit to the ministry from outgoing Vietnamese ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh yesterday.

Vietnam is slated to host the 2021 SEA Games from November 21 to December 2. But recently the country proposed postponing the regional games over COVID-19 fears.

Regarding the Minh diplomatic mission, Kanharith said the ambassador was a testimony to the good relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam, especially in the area of ​​information.

The Minister also wished Minh more success on his next mission.

He also congratulated on the 96th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925-2021).
