HENRICO COUNTY, Virginia (WRIC) – If you have a valid driver’s license and are over 21 years old, you can take a test drive of a large yellow school bus on Saturday. Henrico County Public Schools is still looking for bus drivers and applicants can try their hand at the job during their Drive the Bus event.

The bus driver rental event starts on Saturday at 10 a.m. and lasts until 2 p.m.

During the event, representatives of the school district will help you through a test drive course and inform you about the job posting. Interested applicants can find out more about tasks, working hours, pay and social benefits.

There is an opportunity for an interview at the event. To apply, you must be over the age of 21, have a driver’s license, be able to obtain and hold a CDL, pass a physical and drug test. Some individuals with criminal convictions may still be eligible for the vacancies.

New drivers will take part in paid training.
