Awantipora- A delegation led by University Ministry Secretary J&K Sushma Chauhan along with Planning Director, University Ministry J&K, GM Ganie and others visited the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) on Wednesday to meet with the Vice Chancellor and others University officials on the ongoing and completed infrastructure development projects at IUST.

The Vice Chancellor IUST Prof. Shakil Ahmad Romshoo informed the delegation about the current and ongoing academic programs and the infrastructure development projects. College Department Secretary J&K visited various university departments and centers including the Food Technology Block, Residential Block, Engineering Block, and Nursing College, paying tribute to the cutting-edge facilities developed by the university in various subjects. She praised the efforts of the IUST for the timely completion of the infrastructure projects.

During the visit, student exchange programs, qualification programs and collaborations with other higher education institutions in the J&K UT were also discussed.

While commending IUST’s efforts and contribution to promoting higher education in science and technology, the Secretary of the Department of Higher Education expressed the hope that the university will continue to grow in other frontier areas of science and technology.
