A construction worker was called up to do anger management job after an attack on his supervisor at a construction site in The Villages.
Fernando Vieyra, 27, of Ocala, was ordered to do 12 hours of anger management under a pre-trial intervention agreement signed in Sumter County Court earlier this month. He was also ordered to sign up for detail work with Sumter County for two weekends. If he meets the terms of the deal, a charge he is faced with will be rejected.
The native of Toluca, Mexico, who speaks only Spanish, was apparently angry on August 25 when he attacked a quality control manager at a construction site in the Mattson Loop and Flaxmayer Road area in the village of Citrus Grove. Vieyra suspected that his mother was insulted. Using a translator app on his phone, he said there would be a problem if his mother continued to be offended. Vieyra hit the manager twice in the face with her fist. He was arrested by Wildwood Police.
