The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, received a delegation from the French Senate, led by Senator Christine Lavard, head of the Franco-Lebanese friendship group, to discuss political relations between the two countries and the development of the government.

Bassil stressed: “The need to form a government capable of reforming and building trust at the local and international level”, noting that “the FPM is sticking to its position, the formation of the cabinet as soon as possible to facilitate “.

He stressed the importance of “keeping the relationship between Lebanon and France above all at the level of official and public relations because of its historical depth and great heritage”.

Bassil also received the Ambassador of the State of Qatar, Mohammed Hassan Jaber Al-Jaber, on a farewell visit to Lebanon at the end of his term in office. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations between Lebanon and Qatar.

The talks also touched on the projects and aid pursued by Qatar in Lebanon, with Ambassador Al Jaber reaffirming Qatar’s continued commitment in this regard.
